The Modellers

In 2021 Mauch Chunk has moved to my home in the East Riding of Yorkshire. I (steve) will contine to work on it here. I will be ably assisted by some of the members of the East Riding Finescale group in Hull and will post a photo as soon as possible!

The Modellers in 2017 to 2019 were: Richard Oldfield, Gavin Liddiard, Dave Faulkner and Steve Hales at the Barrowmore Model Railway Group. Mike Rapson and several others also contributed.

2002-001

[Note that during the construction of Mauch Chunk others have also helped with modelling, including Derek Jones, John Etheridge, Bill Marshall and Alisdair Macdonald. Many others have helped in other ways and there is a long list under ‘Thanks’ on the old website].

20170319_114722-1Finally, but certainly not least: Eugene Mones, an expert HO modeller, latterly of Jim Thorpe (Mauch Chunk), who never actually modelled with us but inspired me to model HO American and also helped in so many other ways – including introducing me to the prototype (Mauch Chunk) in the first place in 1996.

Sadly, Gene passed away in August 2014.
